Richland Kitchen Remodel Opens the Home for Entertaining

Richland kitchen with light wood cabinetry, a dark countertop island, stainless steel range hood, and hardwood flooring.

Location: Richland, Washington
Completed: 2022

The homeowners wanted a kitchen connected to their living and dining rooms, with room to cook and gather with guests. Mark Vincent Construction opened the floor plan and remodeled the kitchen around that goal.

An open layout for gathering

MVC opened a load-bearing wall to connect the kitchen with the adjoining living and dining rooms. A new island provides a central gathering point, while hardwood flooring laced into the existing floor connects the remodeled kitchen with the surrounding spaces.

A coordinated kitchen update

MVC installed the kitchen cabinets and backsplash, with countertops installed by Borey and Sons. The finished kitchen brings the new layout, island, and surrounding rooms together for everyday use and entertaining.

Project scope: Load-bearing wall opening, hardwood flooring integration, kitchen island, cabinets, countertops, and backsplash.
